This Just in: Luigi the famed plumber of mushroom land has been charged with the assassination of Brian Thrombosis, CEO of United Health Scare Inc. — the biggest pharmaceutical conglomerate across both the Mushroom and Koopa Kingdoms.
Luigi had gone out to get a mushroom burger at the local fast food joint (McMushrooms) and would you know it some snitch behind the counter ratted on him to the Mushroom land police. Before Luigi could even finish his burger he was arrested as a half dozen Toad police stormed the joint and arrested him.
“M-Murder? What?” and “I-a haven’t even left the house today!” were some of the comments from Luigi an eye witness to the scene told the National Inquisitor.

Prosecutor Wiggler claims to have video evidence putting Luigi at the scene of the crime “Two nights ago, you were spotted at United Health Scare Inc. headquarters. Security cameras captured a figure in green overalls entering the building just hours before Brian Thrombosis was poisoned.”
Luigi’s rebuttal: “That’s impossible!” Luigi protested, his voice shaking. “I-a wasn’t there! I was at home playing cards with-a Yoshi!” “Maybe his own pharmacueticals poisoned him”.

Prosecuter Wiggler submitted to the pre-trial hearing. “The poison used to kill Thrombosis? It came from a mushroom species only found near Luigi’s garden.”
Mario’s rebutted to the court hearing “Then somebody planted those mushrooms there.”
Bowser the King of Koopas also weighed in on the murder stating “Hah! I wish I’d thought of it,” Bowser chuckled. “But no. If Thrombax is dead, I’m glad someone else did the dirty work. The guy was making billions selling Toadstool Tonic—a drug that made half my minions sick.”
